How to unlock iPhone purchased from T-Mobile?

I have 2 questions.

  1. I'm from Guatemala and I acquire an iPhone 13 Pro from T-Mobile sadly this phone is locked by the company. Is there a way to unlock this phone for my country?
  2. I was trying to update to the new IOS16 but the phone get stuck on the 15.7 and there is no option tu update, every time I swipe down to refresh the updates states that IOS was already updated to the latest version.

In advance, Thanks.

1. Ask T-Mobile if they'll unlock it.

2. Go into Settings, VPN & Device Management, remove the beta profile, restart the unit, and run Software Update again. If there isn't one, check that it can properly communicate with Apple's servers.

  1. If the iPhone is locked by the carrier (T-Mobile) then you will have to work with T-Mobile to get that iPhone unlocked. Only the carrier can unlock it.
  2. Did you participate in the beta program of iOS version 15? If YES, then you may still have the beta profile installed on your iPhone X and that is preventing you from updating to iOS version 16. To check this, open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ VPN & Device Management ➡️ Confirguratoin Profile: Here, if you see a beta profile installed, then tap on it and then choose remove the profile. Once this is done, then restart your iPhone and attempt to update your iPhone again.
