What are these .File files in my system?

My mac user folder is flooded with dozens folders named 2a and 6d and whatnot that each contain a couple of incomprehensible file with a .File extension. What the heck ARE these? is it junk I can delete? Or do they serve a purpose? Below is a picture showing some of them. Have been afraid to delete out of ignorance but they look like clutter. What makes them? They all seem to predate my Monterey install. Thanks for any advice.

I do sync a phone, but I have a bunch of those files in the correct "mobile sync" folder. (side question, is there any need to keep 191,000 of those backup sync files (thats the actual number, using 48GB of space)? If i delete all of them and do a fresh sync, would i be up to date?)

and YES, I did for a while use spotify and that link seems to be exactly like what I have! Huzzah, i can delete safely!

Thanks!
