I had the same issue and raised it with Apple Support, who checked its authenticity and informed me that this is a prevailing bug among several airpods pro-owners and that we shouldn't be worried about it and that an update fixing it will be done within weeks.

What we’re going to recommend is that you unpair (Forget the device from Settings > Bluetooth by tapping the ‘i’ to the right of the device listing) and re-pair your AirPods to your device and see if the issue is resolved. Pair AirPods (1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation) Typically, this will resolve the issue and you’ll not see the message again.
