Apple Watch keeps restarting on charger

same here.... mine does exactly the same thing when on a charger......doing a full reset and restart of the watch as a new watch does not fix the issue. My wife has a series 1 and it has no drama, but my series 2 does it therefore i suspect it's connected to the latest watch IOS update.

Apple hasn't accepted this as a software-related issue yet, but it all started after the iOS 16 upgrades. This worked on my Apple Watch Series 2. It's the best solution until Apple admits it; please try and share your responses:

- Turn off your Bluetooth & Wifi on the Watch setting before putting on the charger.

I have another issue which is related to the series 2 and iOS 16. Pairing no longer works! I have two series 2 watches and they will not pair with a phone on iOS 16. They will pair with a phone on iOS 15. I have reported to Apple who have sent logs to engineers but not heard back. Both watches now useless.

Thanks. My series 2 worked fine until this last update, then it seemed to have some issues when listening to music or audiobooks in that the controls for either would not appear on the screen. So I unpaired it and set it up as a new watch and it fixed those issues. But now it constantly restarts 3/4/5 times a night (I use it in nightstand mode) while on the charger. I will try your suggestion today.

agreed..apple watches and iPhones have a user life of approx 2-4 yrs max.....my iPhone 7 is no longer supported...my apple watch series 2 has flawed software as I posted here...and apple now state that they won't replace the battery in the apple watch as its too old. I've got a Seiko divers watch i bought 40 yrs ago that is perfect, but an Apple watch purchased early 2017 at the same time as my iPhone 7 is now junk...

I'm having the same issue with my watch series 2, and also think it started after the IOS16 update of my iPhone.

Same. Also seems to coincide with the iOS 16 update.

also voice controls for ‘skip track’ no longer work for many apps playing media on iPhone.

Exact same issue, also when removing from charger apps take forever to get running, timer takes a real long time to get going. Clearly a software issue.

Clearly Apple think it’s time we bought a new watch….
