Trash/bin synk?

I have one iMac and one Macbook Pro, same Apple ID logged in on both machines. If I delete a file on the iMac, it shows up automatically in Trash on the MBP. If I do same thing the other way around, no sync seems to occur. I don't know if the Trash folder is actually supposed to be synchronised. But if it is, why does it only go one way?

I suppose it depends where the items you trashed were.

If they were somewhere in your iCloud Drive, yes. If they were local to one particular mac, no.

So the files that you trashed in the iMac, where were they stored?

And also: in your iMac, do you “documents and desktop in iCloud” activated?

Sign out of AppleID/iCloud and sign back in again to re-establish sync
