Monterey 12.6 doesn't give me 4K option

I have a Dell U2723QE attached to my 2017 MacBook Pro. It's connected over USB-C with a cable that supported 4K video until I updated from 12.5.1(?) . Now it doesn't let me pick 4k as a resolution. The max is 2048x1280 (which obviously looks horrible).

I tried "Detect Displays", which does nothing. I've rebooted. I've unplugged, replugged etc. I'm not sure what the next step is at this point.
