Last Line No Longer Available on iPhone 14 (with answer)
Symptom: Each time I touch an entry in my phone favorites
list to place a phone call, a window appears that says, "Last Line No
Longer Available. Do you want to call using your remaining line?"
Apple tech support helped me and solved the problem.
Background: the day previous, I'd upgraded to a new iPhone 14.
My apps and data were transferred by Bluetooth to the new phone
from my iPhone 6s.
Explanation: my new Phone app's Recent list held many call
records from the old phone. I was directed to clear them all, then call some
number that answers. (If the "no longer available" message appears again,
say yes and complete that call, then repeat. However, I didn't need that step.)
Resolution: clearing the Recent list allowed calls to proceed
normally.
