Apple Music on Vacation outside US

I have the Apple Music Service and I am taking a weeks vacation in Cancun. Will my subscription work in Cancun? What if I download the music I want beforehand. will those songs be available to listen to once I get to Mexico? I can't seem to find current info that doesn't require me to change Country ID. That doesn't seem like a good option for a very temporary need.

song is not currently available in your country or region iphone 16 This is one of the reasons that I have never subscribed to apple music. Every time I get a new phone, songs get "grayed out" and I can not access them. This has happened since 2008 or 09. So frustrating. Even when I have apple itune receipts for the songs! Anyway, the new message is "song is not currently available in your country or region." My country listed in my phone is United States, so not sure why, again, Apple is taking away music that I have purchased. I have the music on 2 macs and my old iphone. Argh!! Any ideas for a fix?
