Dynamic island for iPhone 12??

I've seen commercials for a dynamic island. If I update my iPhone 12 to iOS 16 will I be able to use the dynamic island?

According to Apple Support's article on Dynamic Island, the feature is currently only available on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
