Apple Watch 7 Sleep Alerts Wake Me

i think this is more of a complaint than advice, since i feel like i’ve tried all i can do with no luck. i have chronic insomnia and i wear my watch at night to track sleep. several times throughout the night or morning, i get haptic alerts and sounds saying “it looks like you’re awake. turn off sleep mode?” because i wake for a moment i’m usually unaware of, it wakes me up and i stay that way for hours

yes, i have sleep screen on. yes, i have a sleep schedule set. yes, it’s set to mirror my iphone. yes, it is in sleep mode. the only way to avoid this seems to be completely shutting off all notifications, which renders the alarm clock function pointless.

i don’t really expect this to change, but i wish the threshold for these alerts was longer or something, it’s very intrusive.

Hey there lovelikewinter7,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

If you are wanting haptics turned off, look under the "How to turn haptic settings for the Apple Watch Digital Crown on or off" section here:

Change the audio and notification settings on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

You can also choose to use Do Not Disturb. "Do Not Disturb keeps calls and alerts (except for alarms) from sounding or lighting up the screen. When enabled, the Do Not Disturb icon appears at the top of the screen."

If you have a suggestion for feedback you would like to provide Apple, you can use this link:

Have a great day!
