disable volume button for camera control

This has been asked several times, yet never answered.

I want to use the camera using only the on-screen button, NOT the volume/lock screen buttons. How can I disable the external buttons from taking photos?

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 15

changing the camera control button to do something else hello. I have the camera control button on this phone and I would like to know if I could change it to do something that isn't related to the camera? This might sound like a dumb question but I figure since it's another action button I don't see why you wouldn't be able to

According to this resource:

Open Camera, then tap the Shutter button or press either volume button to take the shot." iPhone camera basics
