I need to change the font on my ios16 lock screen it is ugly, the only option is to create a new disgusting lock screen, how do I make it smaller without make a new ugly lock screen

Seems Apple used fonts for people with bad eyes, as it WAY too big. But you can’t change it if you have old wallpaper that’s already on the phone. Seems like a huge over sight. IOS 16 is a step backwards.
Did you ever find a solution? I’ve just finally installed ios16.1.1 and my first reaction was “I hate what they did to the time/date on the Lock Screen.” Not only making it a thick font; they also moved the day/date above the time.
I like the wallpaper I had and don’t want to change it, but you can only ‘edit’ the screen if you chose a different wallpaper!?! Even then, you’re stuck with the new positioning; you can only change the font.
I don’t care for any of the ‘too bright or busy’ wallpapers on offer.
Ugly clock Font!!! Apple seems like Microsoft! Each step is a failed step. I’m very dissapointed…
