Overexposed videos when using HDR type of video and on photos app

the title of this is an old thread. the question was asked but no response. I'm experiencing this issue and it has not been corrected, apparently.


does anyone know of the quickest way to correct this problem in already recorded HDR video?

So, video taken in HDR on my iPhone can't be represented properly on my M1 MacBook Pro and that isn't a bug? Call it what you will, it's certainly not a feature and should be corrected, either by making changes to the MacBook Pro or removing the "feature" from the iPhone.
