When you go to your text messages it has the list of all the last people you texted and under their contact name there is a date. I always thought it was the date of the last text message you sent to them.

It wasn't on my phone... it was on my boyfriends phone.... It says 8/29 under the persons name but when you click on their text thread it shows the last one sent was 8/21. So he deleted their last message...correct?

So my point is the last date of activity was 8/29 but the last thing I see is from 8/21. So Im assuming he deleted it. I'm just trying to clarify that people can delete their last few messages from someone in the thread but under their contact name (where it shows everyone's name who you have text threads with) it will still show the right date of the last sent or received message. Even if it's not there.

So then the date under the contact name isn't really the date of the last activity...because if u sent or received a message on 8/21 (which was actually the last activity) then delete is it goes back to the date of the previous message.
