Yes. That is the only option if purchased in the U.S.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are not compatible with physical SIM cards.

I read in an article that you can store up to 6 eSims with an iPhone 14, 2 of which can be active. iPhone 14 Pro.. goes up to 8
