Why is my airtag not compatible with a variety Energizer batteries. Is this a design flaw? I have tried two different 2032 Energizer Duracell type batteries and they will not work with my with any of my Airtags? What kind of batteries will work? This problem is very perplexing. Could this be a design issue?

AirTag Issue - NEW Battery Doesn't Work First, there doesn't appear to be any classification (device/topic) related to AirTags. I have replaced the battery and my AirTag is not working. I read somewhere that Duracel batteries (and possibly others) DO NOT work with AirTag, despite the fact that they are the correct 2032 3V batteries. Is Apple replacing these defective devices?

The batteries should NOT have a “bitterant” coating. (An insulating material designed to make kids spit-out the battery)

I personally found that the “bitter” Duracells ALL failed … while the uncoated Evereadys worked perfectly.
