Is there a way to make the ipad shut down after so long inactive?

My 7 year old daughter has an ipad, the website I got it off says it's a 9th Gen but it has a home button (Modle Number MK2K3B/A)

She keeps leaving it on overnight when she's stopped using it so the battery drains then when she comes to use it again it's either very low battery or completely drained.

I wanted to know if there's a way I can get it to turn itself off after say 30 minutes of not being used so that if she does leave it on it doesn't drain the battery completely?

Thanks

iPad

First, be aware that some Apps will disable iPad’s ability to automatically sleep. If your daughter is using an App that exhibits this behaviour, there is very little that you can do to directly mitigate this issue - as it is the App Developer that has coded this functionality.

Otherwise an iPad that is idle should, by default, automatically enter its low-power “sleep” state. You can set the period via the iPad’s Auto-Lock settings:

Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock - set as required
