How do I sync only certain albums from Music on my Mac to my iPhone in Big Sur?

Been using iTunes since version 1. So long history of music and Mac use. Have thousands of CDs imported.

I only want to sync certain albums, from certain artists. In the new Finder window when I go to the Albums tab, it only shows the album name.  This is extremely difficult because there are similar album names like “Greatest Hits”. There are probably 30 or more of them and many variations. Also, I do not have album names memorized as to what artist they belong to.

How do I know what artist belongs to which album in this stupid view??

I need to have the Artist name and the Album name displayed simultaneously like it was in the old iTunes.  That actually was intuitive.

Has anyone got a fix for this obvoius BUG??

Two thoughts. One is that I rename all Greatest Hits albums as Greatest Hits - <Album Artist>, and in general use <Album> - <Album Artist> whenever different artists release albums with the same title. The second is to use playlists to organize what goes on the device rather than any of the other options. Much easier here to see what is going on in one place. You can sync with either a single playlist, or perhaps a small number organized into a folder so a glance at the folder shows you all that is scheduled to sync. You can even make another smart playlist outside of that folder that shows anything that isn't included so you can scan that for things you might want to add.
