If you want to make more space on your phone, go to Settings/Photos, and make sure Optimize iPhone Storage is checked.

Once that is set up, go to Settings/Your Name, sign in with your Apple ID, then go to iCloud, and turn Photos syncing on. The photos sync is extremely slow. It could take several days or more for the photos to sync.
