How do I get verification code for an Apple ID using another phone number?

If you setup the other number as a trusted number you can request the code be sent to it by tapping or clicking on the "Didn't get verification code" box under the sign-in in screen.

If you have not added it as a trusted number for your account yet, then you cannot get a code sent to it.
