Charging your new apple watch

Does it come already charged and is there a charger that comes with the Apple Watch

my watch won’t turn on I’m assuming it’s not charged I do have what looks like a charger but the connection is nothing like I’ve seen before it’s not like the charger for the iPhone would I have to buy a connecting piece to plug it in

it's an usb-c connector (they are replacing the older usb-a connector)

you can

get an ac charger with usb-c connector Buy 20W USB-C Power Adapter - Apple
get a cable with usb-a connector Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable (1 m) - Apple
get a usb-c to usb-a converter Amazon.com : usb-a to usb-c adapter

Thanks I used a laptop that had the connection USB-C

but will purchase the charger
