My contact list is not min

Yes I had family sharing, when I lost my phone, my partner gave me his iPhone, I used it for a while and upgraded then I returned his phone to him. On my new phone I see a whole entire contact list that belongs to him. On the contact app I have no contacts of my own exept his contacts are under “my contacts” group. I really don’t know what to do, it’s so frustrating

Family Sharing Contacts Merging Hello, I was wondering if you could help me. We have 3 iPads for our 3 children. we recently set up ipad 3 for child 3. when we did this I received all their contacts and by deleting them on my phone, deleted them from their ipads. We all have our own apple IDs so not sharing accounts. We do share a family iCloud account but I read that doesn’t merge contacts. I have gone into iCloud settings and switched off contacts which has fixed the merging issue but that means their contacts are not backing up to the iCloud which is not ideal for the future. my sons iPad has contacts switched on, has his own Apple ID and shares the iCloud family but I don’t get a copy of any of his contacts so I don’t understand why this iPad/setup is different any help would be massively appreciated

Mixed up contacts My husband recently got my son's iphone 13 after my son got the 14. Now our family sharing group is showing two pictures of me with my husband's phone number instead of him. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think it is an iCloud issue but I do not know how to fix it.

Contacts deleted using family Apple id I set my son up a new Apple ID, signed in on my old iPhone 11, his account it sits under my family on settings. When I deleted contacts off my old iPhone 11, it also deleted my contacts off my iPhone 14. can anyone explain to me why this happened and whether I can recover them? I’m so annoyed! That’s hundreds of contacts I know will need to add again. I do not understand when we have two separate Apple ID with different email addresses. The only thing linking us is because he’s under my family so I can set parental controls.

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

Else Add the email account that stores your contacts in the IOS mail app and enable Contacts. If you have a corporate email account added through a profile on your device, please check with your organisation's system administrator.
