i have have an IPhone 11 that keeps all of my call logs incoming and outgoing. My husband has an IPhone 12 that delete all calls after 5 days. Is there a problem with this model phone or Is it a settings issue?
any help would be appreciated

Call log stores only last 100 calls. It is not time bound it is the number of calls.

call logs should record only number to number calls or facetime calls, but it records whatsapp calls also.
and iPhone call logs should record atleast 500 call records
Call log gets deleted automatically
