I'm in process of switching to xfinity & want to buy a new iphone, will it be compatible?

Xfinity does support iPhone. If you buy a new iPhone, make sure you buy one which is carrier unlocked. Only Apple sells carrier unlocked phones. Or, you can purchase your iPhone from Xfinity directly if you want.
