my applications folder says "Install MacOS Monterey" but I am using Mojave?

I don't want to install MacOS Monterey right now, can I delete the application?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Monterey installer I currently use Monterey. Nevertheless, I am constantly asked to upgrade to Monterey and the installer is downloaded to my applications folder. I delete the installer, but it reappears.

deleting Install macOS monterey file after creating a bootable usb I created a bootable usb from my new Mac mini with sonoma to use to install on my old iMac before selling. The Install macOS file is in my applications folder and I am not able to delete it from my computer after creating the bootable drive. How can I delete this, since I no longer need it? I've tried clicking and dragging it into the trash, clicking option and seeing if I can delete it there. But nothing works.

If you mean "Install macOS Monterey" is inside your Applications folder, you can delete it or leave it for later.
