I created a bootable usb from my new Mac mini with sonoma to use to install on my old iMac before selling. The Install macOS file is in my applications folder and I am not able to delete it from my computer after creating the bootable drive. How can I delete this, since I no longer need it?
I've tried clicking and dragging it into the trash, clicking option and seeing if I can delete it there. But nothing works.
You can try restarting in the Safe Mode and then move it to the Trash.

If you are an admin, there should be an authentication prompt when you trash the macOS installer. If not, try disabling SIP and then try again.
