I have paired and unpaired my Apple Watch from my Apple phone. I cannot delete messages. Can anyone help me?

When I delete a message on the phone, it does not delete it from the watch, the same happens when I delete it from the watch, then the message is not deleted from the phone. Apple Watch ive tried dozens of times to ‘reset sync data’. My watch will not keep my messages updated. I open the texts on my phone but they aren’t opened on the watch. I have 10-30 messages unopened on the watch but only 2 on my phone. What do I do?
