Stop Music Syncing on multiple devices

I’ve have searched for this answer but not really sure how to word it.

i recently got Apple Music and used the Sync Library feature so I could add songs from Apple Music to my library and playlists.

(I have thousands of songs I sync from cds thru iTunes on my PC) for some reason once I “sync library’, I can’t add any songs thru my PC and iTunes that I have on cd. I can only do one or the other. So I turned off “sync library” in settings-music on my iPhone. But now when my wife or daughter got Apple Music, my library sync’d to their phone. Thousands of songs I ripped from cd on my PC and have synced to my phone. How can I remove these songs from the cloud or wherever they are that are stored from my previous sync. Even though I am not syncing library now?

(also with what I described earlier) am I correct that I can’t add music to my phone from iTunes on a PC if I am syncing music thru Apple Music?

Greetings Cabojohnny5150,

It sounds as though you're subscribe to Apple Music and seeing all your songs sync wirelessly to your iPhone. If so, this is going to occur when Sync Library is enabled on your iPhone. If you don't want to sync music using Apple Music on your iPhone, you can disable that feature in Settings > Music, then tap the green toggle next to Sync Library to disable that feature. This does not remove the music from iCloud, but it will prevent the music and library from syncing wirelessly to your iPhone and other devices that you choose to disable that feature on. You can learn more about the Sync Library feature via the link below. When this feature is disabled, you would still have access to Apple Music and the Apple Music catalog.

Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music

When this setting is disabled on the iPhone, you'll then be able to manually sync songs, albums, artists, and playlists to your iPhone via iTunes using the steps listed below. You can also find these steps outlined in the following article.

"Open iTunes and connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.
Click the device icon in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window. Learn what to do if you don't see the icon.
From the list under Settings on the left side of the iTunes window, click the type of content that you want to sync or remove.* To turn syncing on for a content type, select the checkbox next to Sync.
Select the checkbox next to each item that you want to sync.
Click the Apply button in the lower-right corner of the window. If syncing doesn't start automatically, click the Sync button."

Thanks for the reply. That is not it tho. It’s very hard to describe my issue (hence why I can’t find anything when I google)

but for years, I have had tons of music on my phone. I have ripped from cd to iTunes my entire cd collection. 1000+ cds.

I recently subscribed to Apple Music. I used the Sync Library feature. I added some songs to my library from Apple Music. The next time I hooked my phone up to iTunes on my PC it would not sync because I was sync’d to Apple Music. It seems as tho you can not do both. I can not have Sync library turned on and sync my library on computer.

so I turned of sync library since I hook up to my PC. But after I unchecked sync library, I also hooked up my Apple Music on my iPad as I figured I could use my iPad and Sync Library and save songs from Apple Music to make playlists to use on a bluetoooth speaker in the yard. Once I sync library on my iPad, all my phones synced music from my ripped cds transferee over to my iPad. I don’t want that. Too much space used on the iPad.

my phones sync library is off but if I hook up a new device the phones backed up songs from cd/pc go to the new device.

my 2 questions are how can I stop the phones backed up music from syncing to other devices. (Or remove the music from wherever it is being stored)

and 2. Is it possible somehow to have my phone on Stnc Library to where I can save new songs. But still be able to hook up to the Oc and sync when I buy new cds?
