Zoom / Microphone Issue
Hi Everybody,
When I log in to a Zoom meeting and test my audio, my speakers work (I can hear other people talking). However, my microphones do not work. (I am resorting, now, to using my phone for sound.) My microphones have worked in the past (on Zoom). I'm not sure if it’s just a coincidence, but the problem started happening after the most recent Zoom app update (about 2 months ago). Zoom video is working well for me.
What I'm working with:
2013 iMac
OS: Catalina, 10.15.7
Microphones: both internal microphone and external Tonor brand microphone are not working during Zoom meetings.
Zoom stand-alone app (not browser-based)
Things I’ve already tried:
1. Reinstalled Zoom. Didn't help.
2. Privacy settings (Mac) for microphone: checkmark next to zoom.us.app (Zoom is allowed).
3. System preferences (Mac) for sound: both outputs and inputs are at good levels.
4. Tested microphone on Zoom app settings: microphone *does* work when testing on Zoom app settings.
5. Tested microphone on the Voice Memo app (on Mac): microphone works.
6. Checked cord connection between computer and external microphone. (Everything plugged in correctly.)
I'd appreciate any help you could provide.
