Sync books finder window shows no books?

My books do sync across my devices, but that is slow. Why are there no books showing in the "Book" tab in my Mac finder?

Apple Books only shows first page in each chapter I downloaded an epub on my Mac then copied it to Books on an iPad using he sync feature in the Finder. When I read the book on the iPad it only shows text on the first page. Going to the next page shows the dirt page off the next chapter. If I make the text smaller Books still shows a full page of text. The text is there, but Books will only show one page of it. It does the same on the Mac.

Third Party EPUBs and PDFs not Showing Up in iOS Finder Sync In my book library on my Mac, I have a combination of books I've purchased in the Apple Books Store, as well as EPUB files I've purchased on other sites and imported into my library, and PDFs. But when I try to sync my phone or iPad in the Finder, under the Books tab, only the items purchased in the Books Store are there. None of my other EPUBs or PDFs show up in the list and thus I can't sync them to my devices. Is there a fix for this?

Cannot turn off Books iCloud syncing. I use Books on my iMac to store PDFs and sync them to my iPad and iPhone. It annoys me every time there's a major OSX update iCloud syncing is automatically turned on. I have to go through the same routine of recovering all my PDFs off iCloud and turning it off to rebuilt my Books. However now I have found with Sonoma I am not able to turn off Books in my iMac's iCloud Drive settings. When I turn it off, close setting then reopen the setting is turned on again. Not only do I not want to pay for more iCloud storage, I have a lot of manuals in there, but I need some of these PDFs synced to my iPad since I do not always have a network connection. Any way to get my Books iCloud sync setting to turn off and stay off? Or an alternate way to sync and view PDFs without using iCloud.

I see. Maybe try restarting both devices? I talked to an Apple Support specialist about an issue I had similar to this about a month ago, but I cannot recall how the issue was corrected. My problem was with syncing music through Cloud Library though, not between iPhone and Mac.

Is this only for books or for all items you're attempting to sync between the devices?

I can see some other things, but most of what I have is synced in iCloud.
