Can not access #images while in downtime

I can’t access #images while my screen is on downtime and I tried to edit the always allowed apps and it still didn’t work. Any idea how to work around that?

for further information: I have never been able to access #images while I’m in downtime. I have to turn off downtime to be able to use it. I am up to date on the latest software iOS 15.6.1.

iPhone 11, iOS 15

Hey Treeinforest,

It sounds like you're having issues with downtime blocking something you want to be allowed.

If you're referring to the #images option in Messages to add GIFs to messages, we'd recommend checking your Screen Time settings to see if Messages or Safari has any Screen Time options enabled that could be blocking it. This article should help with reviewing those settings: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

We'd also suggest reviewing the information in this article as it addresses issues with the #images being missing which may help resolve that: Send and save GIFs on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"If #images is missing from app drawer

Make sure that the #images app is enabled:

  1. From the app drawer, swipe left, then tap more icon.
  2. Tap Edit, then tap add icon to add the #images app.

Make sure that your keyboard is set to a supported language and region. Go to Settings > General and tap Language & Region.

The #images app is available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, India, Singapore, Philippines, and Japan."

Thanks!
