can't add contacts to iPhone

My iPhone will no longer let me add any contacts. I have a 10 or 11 with recent update of operating system. I'd gladly delete some old contacts if that is the problem, but I don't know how to do that.

How do I sync iCloud contacts on my iPhone? my iPhone is showing -1 contacts in the contacts app. I cannot add contacts and I cannot restore contacts from iCloud (simply nothing happens). MY IPHONE 15 DOESN’T SAVE CONTACTS I’ve just bought my new iphone 15 and I’m using IOS 17.0.3. My iphone can’t save new contacts and it shows me “all contacts” as “-1”… If I try to add a new contact it lets me add it but then it doesn’t save it and if I come back on the tool “contacts” the list is empty.
