What does it mean when you are trying to get a password on keychain and it asks for a user name?

Similar questions

Keychain fails to remember password or username I often ask keychain to generate and save a new password. Often keychain doesn't save the password that it has generated. Other times Keychain will not remember the username. Why does this happen and how can I ensure keychain always saves the username and passwords I create?

What you are attempting to do is not quite clear to me. Are you using the Keychain Access app?
