Im wondering if there is a way to use my old macbook (from 2019) to connect my iphone 13? I could not find iphone syncing button on itunes nor finder when i connect iphone to macbook using usb cable, even though the itunes for mac is a recent version (12.8)

sometimes when you first connect your phone for use with Finder, you get a message to stand by, it needs an additional download.
Can I still use mac 13 pro(2019) to sync my iphone 13
