WhatsApp is not showing messages on my iPhone

I have a new iphone but when using whatsapp in Chats it isn't showing messages i have just sent to people on my contacts. can anyone help please, I didn't have this problem on my old android phone but I tried to back up whatsapp before switching to the iphone but this was not very successful.

WhatsApp search chat and back up is not working. I got a new phone and transferred my data from iCloud. All the other apps are fine. Except WhatsApp, I can’t search chats in WhatsApp also I can’t back up chats in WhatsApp settings. I’ve had the phone for a week. iMessage not showing on iPhone I have this strange issue where i cannot see past yesterdays chat. The strange part is when i search for yesterdays message i can see it in search results but clicking it still takes me to the chat without it. It’s even stranger coz i can see said messages perfectly on my Mac and iPad, but not on my iPhone where I would primarily need to see them. i tried syncing and it worked but then stopped. This happened after i upgraded my iCloud storage and freed up space on my iPhone. honestly at wits end about this
