Security Breach

My mac terminal doesn't have sudo, chmod & other command , also unable to find sudo file in any of the possible location. I didn't touch or delete any system files recently. it may be possible that i installed some apps from outside AppStore, but i don't think i give full sudo permission to them.

Should I reinstall macOS. I'm using mac mid 2012 13" its running on catalina 10.15.7 & i do recently get a security update.

Please share your thoughts.

it can be the path to commands is inaccurate, you can map them, which I dont have the patience to try myself if it comes down to it or you can install Homebrew which should install the common commands with the correct path.

there are numerous posts on the internet with instructions to redirect the path map when this happens. If you're working with terminal proceed at your own risk.
