Music locking up

Hey there,

I'm having some problems with my music library. It keeps locking music up, and I get the spinning beach ball, then after a few minutes sometimes it responds for a moment, then sometime after locks up again. Its also duplicating playlists.

I'm not sure if its the app or the library, or perhaps the files. Its a very large library with ~80,000 items.

I'm going to try moving the library to another computer to see if it locks up there as well, but are there any library scan or repair functions in music? I can't seem to find any (and I'm sure there was something in iTunes back in the day)

Any tips are appreciated :)

Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music to open it in safe mode. This may sometimes help.
