Since installing macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6, iTunes has stopped working

After updating to macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 on a Mid-2011 iMac,

iTunes (v12.8.3) refuses to open. Apple Support was unable to assist. I

attempted to boot up in Safe Mode without success. I tried to reset the

SMC without success. Besides the default application, it is a pretty simple iMac. I mostly

use it to transfer music from iTunes to my iPhone and browse the web

occasionally. I tried uninstalling iTunes, but it wouldn't let me.

Is there anyone who can help?

Try reinstalling over your current copy.
