why cant i burn a cd of purchased music?
I have purchased music in iTunes and it will not let me use it to burn a playlist or add to iMovie.

Why not? What happens when you try? Do you get an error? If so, what does it say?
Make sure the music you are trying to burn or use for iMovie does not include music from the Apple Music subscription service. That is not purchased music and cannot be used outside of the subscription.
