safari hang up

Safari hangs up on my 2019 MacBook Pro os v 12.5.1 and 2.3 ghz i8 any ideas why?

diagnosing safari hangs? Maybe correlation and not causation, but safari appears to hang while loading sites more frequently since the Ventura update. Is there a way to diagnose the issues with Safari? would etre-check help? thanks

Safari lags Over the past several months Safari will lag or respond extremely slow. I'm running on a MacBook Pro 16" 2019, first with Monterey, now Ventura. Safari has been kept up-to-date. I empty the cache a couple of times a week because of the slowness and initially it will respond quicker, but within a few days I need to empty the cache again. I can open the same website in Chrome at the same time Safari is trying to respond and the site opens on Chrome in under 1 second while Safari continues to spin. I have gone through steps of removing all extensions on Safari and the issue continues. It seems somewhere along the line an Apple update broke Safari. I have no issues with the other browsers that I use (Edge and Chrome). Mike

SAFARI 16.0 MACBOOK PRO; OS Monterey 12.6; Safari 16.0. It is a disaster. About half the time, the screen freezes up and I can't do a force quit from the Apple Menu because of that 'blurry ball" that seems to block anything related to Safari. If I switch to another app, then back to Safari, it will seem to be OK for a few pages, then freeze up again. And it takes a fearfully long time to load some websites, if they load at all. Safari 16.0 seems to have not been fully debugged before release.... Any fixes in the pipeline?
