Why does a 1 day later backup take 10 gb? There is no way that many files changed? Why does my backup 1 day later, take 10 gb? There is no way that many files changed each day.

FCPX is backing up too often. Can I control how often? FCPX is backing up too often. And each time it's jamming the work flow. Is there somewhere in settings or elsewhere I can spread out the backups? I can't see anything in Settings. Just wondering.

I don' have a Mac running Catalina here to test, so not much help there.

Is the backup file really named "Harland's iMac.sparset"?

Time Capsule backup files are normally named ".sparsebundle" or ."backupbundle"

If you right-click on "Harland's iMac.sparset" and look for Open With, what application is displayed?

What operating system is running on the Mac?

Do any error messages appear when you try to open the backupbundle?

If yes, what are they?

Not sure why you are trying to open the backupbundle, but that might be another discussion.
