Voice Memos No Longer Works on iPhone

The Voice memos app on my iphone SE has completely stopped opening. You get a white screen if you try to open the app. I have tried turning off my phone, checking for updates, and finally deleting the app and downloading it again. It started with glitches in failing to record after the screen went dark for longer recordings I would do. Then it got worse and wouldn't record. Now the app won't even open. I use this app to write songs and I'm extremely frustrated and sad that it will not work any longer. Help!
