Mac Set-up after erase

trying to reinstall mac os sierrra to. my mac pro and its not allowing me too. any help would be appreciated

Can't reinstall Mac OS on 2011 iMac Followed the steps from Apple to erase the disk and went to reinstall Mac OS in recovery mode. It's a 2011 iMac with High Sierra. I get the message - 'can't connect'. I have tried changing the date and other suggestions but nothing works. In the process I seem to have changed the side bar contents from showing my Macintosh disk to showing Apple APFS. I also tried rebooting from Lion but that didn't work either. Is there any way to get the software back on this machine please?

Read How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support. You probably need to follow the startup instructions under Other macOS installation options.
