Forward or resend text messages to a recipient

There’s no easy way to resend them as texts, except one at a time. An alternative would be to use an app on your computer such as TouchCopy (Windows & Mac) or Phoneview (Mac only) to extract and create a PDF of all of the posts.

Texts are a funny thing. If you sync them to iCloud then if you delete them from your phone they are also deleted from iCloud, as it is a sync service, not an archive.

HOWEVER, if you DON’T sync them to iCloud then they will be included in an iCloud or computer backup of the phone, so if she has either type of backup that is recent, but before they were deleted, she can restore that backup. Doing so will overwrite everything on the phone, not just the texts, but if the backup is very recent that probably won’t matter.

For the future, if you (or she) goes to Settings/[AppleID name at top]/iCloud and turn on iCloud backup the phone will create a backup every night if you plug in the phone when you go to sleep and it is connected to Wi-Fi.
