Apple ID verification code

Where in settings to input Apple ID verification code when using "approve in person on this device" for parental approval of app purchases? This step has only started appearing recently, after completion of entering parent credentials. I do receive the verification code sent to my Android phone but do not know where to input it on child's iPhone.
