Track pad on new Macbook Air too sensitive

There must be a way to reduce sensitivity, this thing is flying all over the place at the lightest touch, and I have it at the least sensitive setting. Obvi trackpad system preferences are useless, any other workarounds?

Macbook Air M2 trackpad - speed/sensitivity settings lacking | slow trackpad speed Hi, I love my apple devices and they have been serving me well for over a decade. I recently switched from M1 Macbook Air to M2 Macbook Air as my daily driver and Im not satisfied at all with the options for setting the sensitivity on built-in trackpad. I am one of those productivity geeks and I like my mouse/trackpad sensitivity really high. Over the years I explored different ways around it, including all the 3rd party tools like USB overdrive, Bettertouchtools, Cursorsense and many others, and also adjusting the system settings via terminal commands (defaults write -g com.apple.trackpad.scaling XX and defaults write -g com.apple.mouse.scaling XX). Until now, these options worked well for me. However, with this new M2 Macbook Air I am starting to get really frustrated. The maximum trackpad sensitivity allowed is not remotely enough for me (and for what I am used to), and it doesnt seem to get better (faster) with any of the workarounds mentioned above. It seems that you are able to increase acceleration, but not sensitivity. My M2 MBA trackpad just feels slow compared to what I am used to work with. During my research I bumped into this message on CursorSense website alongside with the error displayed in the app itself - this may be the answer (see screens). Is it possible, that Apple changed the way of adjusting trackpad speed and/or sensitivity with the coming of M2 generation of macbooks? If yes, is there some kind of workaround (is it software or hardware thing?), or is just apple restricting the controls of the trackpads for good? If so, can you elaborate if it is the thing with all the Macbooks (after 2022), or just Airs...? I am so frustrated from this situation, that I literally consider selling this laptop and switching either back to older Mac or trying different model without this ridiculous restriction. Many thanks

We recommend testing this issue in another user. This can help determine if the issue is user specific or occurring system wide.

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

If the issue persists, disconnect any connected peripherals and test again. Let us know the results. Be sure to include any other steps that you may have tried.
