Google password problem

Keychain says I need to update my Google password but when I do that with a hard-to-guess Safari password the warning is still there.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.5

Does it appear to accept the new password? Does it seem to go away after you have saved it and backed out of Password preferences?
