iPhone 13 mini camera not focusing.

My iPhone 13 mini was taking great pictures up until the update to iOS 15.6. Since the update, the camera focuses nicely, so long as the object is closer than 2 feet unless the magnification is less than 1x. Given virtually none of the pictures I take are this close, this has made the camera functionally useless. I have tried all options available online for addressing this, but nothing has helped.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks for your post to Apple Support Communities. We want to help with your iPhone camera not focusing properly. We have some suggested steps to walk through, if you haven't done them already.

Remove any case, accessory, or film that might block the camera or flash or that places a magnet near the camera
Test the camera by trying to take a photo.
If the photo is blurry, clean the front and back camera lenses with a microfiber cloth.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Test the camera again by taking a photo. If your device has a front and rear camera, check if one or both isn’t working. To switch cameras, tap the rotate button .

Hi Soosie_J215,

I have done literally all of those things, including contacting support. Still a problem. The suggestion is to take it in for repair, but nearest authorized repair place is 90 miles away. Next closest after that is about 120 miles away. Needless to say, this isn’t exactly feasible, nor is sending my phone in to be looked at as it is my only mode of communication.

It was working fine until the software update.
