How do I listen to Dolby Atmos Music on an AV receiver without an Apple TV 4K?

I understand that, in order to get Dolby Atmos to be playedback on a home theatre, you need an Apple TV connected to an AV receiver.

Is it possible to listen to Dolby Atmos on a Mac or PC in Apple Music (or iTunes, in case of Windows PC) connected to an AV receiver? the HDMI out of a Mac doesn't seem to be able to transmit a Dolby Atmos signal.
