How do I merge data from several separate sheets into one pivot table

I work with three different sheets for account ledgers and would like to merge data from all three of them into one pivot sheet for a monthly total. I know I can create a pivot sheet for each one of them, but since I need the totals combined, it's not really functional for me.

Is it possible to merge the data of these three sheets into one pivot table?

Sheets in Numbers don't contain cells and data. Tables do. It is possible to combine data from different tables and analyze that using Pivot Tables. But it is difficult to to suggest ways to do that without seeing more specifics. Could you post screen shoots?


(shift-command-4, select area with cross-hairs, release, start new post here and use the "mountains-and-moon" Image Insertion icon at the bottom of the compose window to attach the screenshots from the Desktop.)

Thanks for your response. It won’t let me upload the photos. Keeps saying that I have to sign back in, but I am already signed in. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. 😳


Let me try be more specific. I created a budget workbook with three different sheets containing one table each - account ledgers. I want my pivot table to reflect a total of the combined split transactions of all three account ledger tables.

I am able to create the pivot for each table individually, exactly with the info I want, showing the date by month, category, and split amount. But I can’t figure out how to get the data into one summary pivot table.
